LSU Health Shreveport has a collaboration agreement with the nonprofit organization Fundación Barrié, La Coruna, Spain, to offer two fellowships to Spanish nationals to participate in the Microbiology and Immunology Department's summer undergraduate research program. This establishes an international outreach of our highly competitive summer undergraduate research program that lasts between 7 and 9 weeks.

"This partnership offers high achieving students from Spain an opportunity to perform science at a high level with top notch researchers."
- Monica Cartelle Gestal, PhD
